The purpose of this site is to document my home renovation. Being a homeowner of a fixer-upper definitely has its ups and downs. I have learned so many things throughout the process and want to share the good, the bad and the ugly. Hopefully you can find a few takeaways or even share your stories!

Behind the name Reelax:
Reelax comes from the last three letters in my name and also plays on the word relax. I chose the word because I understand just how important it is to unwind. As I've gotten older I've noticed how overwhelming things can get. That's why I decided to reconnect with a few of my hobbies, re-purposing furniture and gardening. For me, these hobbies are relaxing and both provide rewarding results.

Renovating the house has also become oddly relaxing for me. For me, I see the value in transforming rooms such as the Kitchen or Living room because I can appreciate the benefits both will create. For example: many find baking/cooking relaxing and others find watching tv to be the ultimate way to chill out. Yes the reno process can be stressful at first, but to see the end product and to be able to enjoy it, is even better!
